Lavrov commented on prospects for peace deal signing between Baku, Yerevan

“Russia, which is bound to Azerbaijan as well as Armenia by a strategic partnership and alliance, is providing its comprehensive support, both through its form and coverage, to the peaceful process, in which our Azerbaijani and Armenian friends are interested in”.

As Caliber.Az reports, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov gave this statement, responding to a question on whether Russia expects a peace agreement between the two countries to be signed within the coming months.

Lavrov also remarked, that this question better be addressed to the two sides, meaning Baku and Yerevan, seeing as “it is precisely them that form the dynamic of contacts and determine the content of the future peace deal”.
