Light aircraft crashes in Russia’s Omsk region, killing two

A light aircraft, the “Aeroprakt-22,” crashed near the village of Koshkarevo in the Azovo German National District of Russia’s Omsk region, killing two people on board, the Western Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office told TASS.

According to the agency, the aircraft went down during aviation operations, although the nature of those operations was not specified. 

The circumstances and cause of the incident are currently under investigation. Acting Omsk transport prosecutor has been dispatched to the crash site. A probe into compliance with aviation safety regulations has been launched.

The prosecutor’s office stated that the aircraft was operated by LLC “Aviabaza,” a company specialising in various aviation services, including aerial surveying, chemical spraying, search and rescue operations, and visual flights.
