In his social media post, the Paris Saint-Germain footballer shared a photo of the date palm groves in Saudi Arabia and expressed his surprise at the country's abundance of greenery. He also mentioned his love for exploring the unexpected wonders of Saudi Arabia whenever he gets the chance.
“Who thought Saudi has so much green? I love to explore its unexpected wonders whenever I can.”
Last year in May, Messi visited the Kingdom to attend Jeddah Season, an annual festival that takes place in Jeddah. During his visit, he shared a picture of himself watching the sunset over the Red Sea while on a boat. He also explored parts of Jeddah's old town, which is a heritage site.
Messi is widely recognized as one of the greatest football players of all time and has a massive international fan following on social media.
As an ambassador of Visit Saudi, the tourism ministry's promotional brand, Messi has been actively promoting tourism in the Kingdom.
