Lithuania provides Ukraine with military aid worth over €1 billion
The volume of military assistance that Lithuania has provided to Ukraine has exceeded €1 billion, the Baltic republic’s President Gitanas Nausėda has said.
“Lithuania remains one of Ukraine’s most active allies, and the total amount of military aid has exceeded €1 billion,” Nausėda’s press service quoted him as saying.
According to the president, in 2025, the size of this support amounted to 0.28% of Lithuania’s gross domestic product (GDP). “This exceeds our commitments,” Nausėda stressed.
In 2024, Vilnius undertook an obligation to allocate 0.25% of the national GDP annually to Ukraine for defence and security needs, which amounts to around €190 million.
As Nausėda noted, Lithuania will continue to fulfil its other commitments as well. “Within the framework of international missions, we will continue supplying ammunition to Ukraine and participating in the international demining coalition,” he said.
