Magnitude 5.3 earthquake strikes Russia’s Tuva region

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 has been recorded in the Bai-Taiginsky district of the Tuva Republic in Russia, according to official reports.
Citing the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, TASS reported that the earthquake occurred on April 25 at 16:40 local time.
The epicentre was located approximately 25 kilometres northwest of the village of Kyzyl-Dag.
Authorities said the tremors were felt only weakly, and no reports or complaints were received from residents following the quake. Emergency services added that critical infrastructure and essential facilities continue to operate in normal mode.
