Major fire breaks out at Moscow hostel, hundreds evacuated PHOTO / VIDEO

A major fire broke out at a hostel in Moscow, prompting the evacuation of residents as emergency crews responded to the scene.

The fire erupted at a hostel on Montazhnaya Street in the city’s Golyanovo district, Caliber.Az reports via SHOT Telegram channel.

Initial reports indicate that as many as 600 people may have been inside the building at the time of the incident.

Russian emergency authorities classified the blaze as a Level 2 emergency response, with firefighters and rescue personnel deployed to contain the fire and evacuate occupants.

There was no immediate information on casualties or the cause of the fire.
