Massive drone attack hits infrastructure in Ukraine’s Kryvyi Rih
Authorities in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, reported a large-scale drone strike targeting a local infrastructure facility.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the regional military administration, warned residents on Facebook that the situation would be difficult and advised them to stock up on water and charge their devices if possible, Caliber.Az reports.
He also confirmed emergency outages, noting that electricity was cut for more than 45,000 customers and heating was disrupted for over 700 homes connected to multiple boiler plants.
In addition, the city’s high-speed tram temporarily halted operations in the morning. A response headquarters was activated immediately after the strikes to manage the aftermath.
Later, Vilkul reported that energy and utility services had managed to “achieve the nearly impossible.” All previously disconnected customers were restored, boiler plants were restarted and gradually reaching normal temperatures, public electric transport—including the high-speed tram—resumed normal operations, and water supply was fully restored.
Local Telegram channels shared photos of a bright glow in the sky, likely following the strikes.
