Massive Ukrainian attack hits Russia’s Belgorod, three killed, 25 injured

Three people were killed during a nighttime attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russia’s Belgorod, the region’s acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev said on Telegram.

“Unfortunately, according to updated information, three civilians were killed,” the regional head wrote.

Shuvaev reported 25 people were injured, including children aged four and nine. One child was hospitalized in moderate condition, while 13 adults remain in hospitals, one of them in extremely serious condition.

Belgorod came under a massive Ukrainian drone attack on the night of August 9. The explosions set parked cars on fire and sparked fires in two apartment buildings and one private house. The fires have been extinguished.

Residential buildings, administrative buildings, social facilities and commercial properties were damaged.
