Mayor: Drone destroyed in new attempted attack on Moscow

Air defence systems in Russia intercepted and destroyed a drone heading toward Moscow, according to city authorities.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said in a Telegram post that one unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down while approaching the capital, marking another attempted attack.

He added that emergency services were dispatched to the site where the drone’s debris fell and had begun working at the scene.

No casualties have been reported, and no additional details about the incident were immediately disclosed.
