Media: Cyberattacks on Israel surge 700% following strikes on Iran
Israel has experienced a dramatic 700 per cent increase in cyberattacks over the past two days, compared to the period before June 12, cybersecurity firm Radware said.
The surge represents a significant escalation in hostile network activity aimed at Israeli infrastructure, the company said, Caliber.Az reports per Israeli media.
The attacks have targeted a broad spectrum of sectors, including government websites, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and critical infrastructure, raising concerns over national security and operational stability.
“The 700% surge in malicious activity within just two days stems from cyber retaliation operations by Iranian state actors and pro-Iranian hacker groups, including DDoS attacks, infiltration attempts targeting critical infrastructure, data theft, and malware distribution campaigns,” said Ron Meyran, Vice President of Cyber Threat Intelligence at Radware.
Cybersecurity experts warn that such attacks could disrupt essential services and compromise sensitive information, necessitating robust defensive measures and international cooperation to mitigate the growing threat.
