Media: Israel's strike against Houthis was agreed with US
An Israeli airstrike on the positions of Houthis in Yemen, which opposes the country's authorities, was coordinated with the United States.
According to the information from Israeli official, the strike was conducted "in coordination with the US," but it was exclusively an Israeli operation, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Notably, on September 29 Israel conducted airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen, marking an extension of its confrontations with Iran's allies following the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
The strikes targeted the port city of Hodeidah in response to recent Houthi missile attacks on Israel. The Houthi-run health ministry reported at least four fatalities and 29 injuries from the bombardment.
This military action coincides with Israel's intensified campaign in Lebanon, which has claimed numerous Hezbollah leaders' lives and displaced hundreds of thousands. Israel's military chief, Herzi Halevi, stated the need to maintain pressure on Hezbollah, describing the group as having "lost its head."
According to Lebanon's Health Ministry, Israeli strikes on September 29 resulted in 32 deaths in Ain Deleb and 21 in Baalbek-Hermel, with 14 medics reported killed in the preceding days.
The ongoing violence raises concerns about a broader regional conflict involving Iran and US.
