Media: Pakistan army chief’s Iran visit postponed
The planned visit of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir to Iran has been postponed, according to Al Arabiya citing an unnamed source.
No official reason has been provided for the delay, and further details regarding the decision have not yet been disclosed.
The visit was reportedly expected to include discussions in Tehran related to regional security and diplomatic efforts surrounding stalled U.S.–Iran negotiations over tensions in the Persian Gulf.
Earlier reports suggested that General Munir was due to deliver messages to Iranian officials aimed at supporting efforts to restart dialogue between Tehran and Washington.
Commentary shared on social media platform X by journalist Ali Gholhaki linked the delay to broader geopolitical discussions involving the Iranian nuclear issue, maritime tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, and proposed confidence-building measures between Iran and the United States.

The development also comes amid renewed warnings from U.S. President Donald Trump that military action against Iran could resume if Tehran does not respond positively to U.S. demands.
