Media: Pashinyan to sack several ministers, but finds no replacements
Yerevan-based daily "Zhokhovurd" writes that the Armenian prime minister plans to get rid of several ministers who have proved ineffective.
However, he can't find worthy replacements for them because the prime minister's talent pool is severely depleted and there is an acute shortage of experienced specialists, the article says.
Caliber.Az quotes the newspaper as saying: "Pashinyan wanted to attract MPs from his party to positions in the executive branch, even offering them ministerial posts. But the ruling party MPs refused the offers, trying not to offend Pashinyan".
According to the newspaper's sources, the reason is that the MPs do not want to be under Pashinyan's direct control and avoid daily meetings with him.
Moreover, the paper has learned that members of the ruling party feel comfortable in parliament and consider the position of a deputy more "prestigious". Therefore, they don't want to move to the executive branch.
