Media: Türkiye extradited 26 Iranian prisoners to their homeland

Türkiye has extradited to Iran 26 prisoners who are citizens of the Islamic Republic.

This was reported on March 26 by the Tasnim agency, citing the head of the judiciary of the Iranian province of Western Azerbaijan.

According to him, the process of transferring convicted citizens took place on the Iranian-Turkish border in the area of the Bazargan checkpoint (north-west of Iran). All 26 extradited prisoners will be transferred to the Bazargan city prison after the necessary legal procedures have been completed.

The agency did not provide details on what charges these Iranian citizens were convicted in Türkiye .
