Media: Ukraine destroys Russia's Iskander missile launcher, radar station in Kursk
Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) have struck a Russian Iskander short-range ballistic missile system and air defence elements.
The Iskander system was hit on the night of November 3 to 4 near the village of Ovsyannikovo in Russia’s Kursk region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
The vehicle was reportedly used to transport, reload, and prepare missiles for launches against Ukrainian territory.
In addition, the SSO, together with the “Black Spark” unit, destroyed a 1L122 Harmony radar system near the village of Nizhny Reutets in the same region. The radar had been used to detect and track aerial targets.
In the reported night, Russian forces fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Russia’s Rostov region, six S-300 surface-to-air missiles from the Kursk region, and around 130 attack drones — including Iranian-designed Shahed drones and other models — on Ukraine.
Ukraine’s air defences intercepted or neutralised 92 of the drones over northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
However, missile and drone strikes hit 14 locations, with confirmed impacts from six missiles and 31 drones.
