A satellite image dated January 14, taken a day after the Ukrainian drone strike, indicates that several structures at the Atlant-Aero plant in Taganrog were destroyed, including a newly built facility completed in early 2025, as per foreign media.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukraine’s Defence Forces had targeted the Atlant-Aero enterprise using “Ukrainian-made missiles.”
The plant conducts the full cycle of development, production, and testing of Molniya strike-reconnaissance drones, as well as manufacturing components for Orion unmanned systems.
Before this confirmation, residents in the area had speculated that the intended targets of the attack might have been both Atlant-Aero and the G.M. Beriev aircraft repair plant.
