Media: Ukrainian drones strike Russia’s Veliky Novgorod, Smolensk Region PHOTO / VIDEO
Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly attacked Veliky Novgorod overnight, local residents reported. According to the independent outlet ASTRA, a fire broke out at the site of the strike.
A similar incident was reported in the town of Dorogobuzh in Russia’s Smolensk region, where residents said another overnight attack triggered a fire.
ASTRA’s readers claimed that the strike in Dorogobuzh targeted the Dorogobuzh PJSC facility, a major producer of mineral fertilisers and industrial chemicals.
Ukrainian media, however, reported that a combined heat and power plant (CHPP) located in the settlement of Verkhnedneprovsky in the Dorogobuzh district had been hit. The plant is one of the region’s key energy sites, supplying both heat and electricity.
None of these claims have been officially confirmed. ASTRA noted that the images and videos circulating online have not yet been verified by its journalists.
