Media: Ukrainian strike hits major Russian oil refinery in Saratov PHOTO/VIDEO
Residents of Russia’s Saratov region reported hearing powerful explosions late on the night of November 3, with footage circulating online appearing to show the moment of impact.
The Ukrainian investigative project Supernova+ published videos depicting the strike, which were later analysed by the independent Russian outlet ASTRA, Caliber.Az reports.
According to ASTRA’s open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysts, the footage indicates that the Saratov Oil Refinery was hit.
“Judging by the video, the facility appears to be covered with protective netting. A fire is visible in the western part of the refinery, possibly near the fuel storage tanks,” the media writes.
Analysts from the Ukrainian Dnipro OSINT project reached the same conclusion.
This is not the first reported attack on the Saratov Oil Refinery. On October 16, 2025, Ukrainian forces also struck the facility as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Russia’s fuel infrastructure.
The Saratov Oil Refinery, one of Russia’s oldest, has an annual processing capacity of approximately 4.8 million tonnes of crude oil as of 2023.
