United Russia tops vote in Baku, Azerbaijan, falls behind in Kazakhstan

Russia’s ruling party has won the election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly in Baku, Azerbaijan, but lost in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The Agency, a Telegram page, said United Russia failed to come first in many cities that became destinations for Russian migrants after the start of the war in Ukraine.

According to its analysis, at some polling stations abroad, the results of which had been published by the Central Election Commission by 1 pm on September 21, the ruling party came third, behind both New People and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).

The Agency analysed voting results from 20 polling stations abroad in countries to which many Russians moved after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

At 12 of them, United Russia received fewer votes than one or two other parties.

At the time of publication, the Central Election Commission’s system did not contain voting results from other centres of the Russian diaspora.

Overall, as of 2 PM on September 21, United Russia had received 39.58% of the vote at polling stations abroad, followed by New People with 24.49% and the CPRF with 16.99%.

Foreign polling station results were as follows:

Almaty: New People — 53.87%, CPRF — 24.22%, United Russia — 8.94%;

Bangkok: New People — 48.8%, CPRF — 23.11%, United Russia — 13.56%;

Vienna: New People — 47.22%, CPRF — 19.23%, United Russia — 15.67%;

Vilnius: New People — 33.94%, CPRF — 30.28%, United Russia — 17.43%;

Da Nang (Vietnam): New People — 50.81%, CPRF — 31.88%, United Russia — 3.94%;

Salzburg: New People — 60.79%, CPRF — 18.35%, United Russia — 9.71%;

Paris: New People — 42.88%, United Russia — 21.59%, CPRF — 18.68%;

Prague: New People — 54.35%, CPRF — 21.52%, United Russia — 7.72%;

Phuket: New People — 44.72%, CPRF — 29.88%, United Russia — 10.25%;

Strasbourg: New People — 48.83%, CPRF — 20.74%, United Russia — 15.72%;

Helsinki: New People — 48.29%, CPRF — 20.50%, United Russia — 14.21%;

Ho Chi Minh City: New People — 38.96%, CPRF — 33.57%, United Russia — 10.96%.

In eight cities abroad, United Russia came first:
