Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met on September 12 with Serdar Kılıç, Türkiye’s Special Representative in the Armenia–Türkiye normalisation process.

Kılıç arrived in Armenia earlier in the day through the Margara border crossing, where he was welcomed by Armenia’s representative in the dialogue, Ruben Rubinyan.
Following the talks between the two sides, the parties agreed to launch the necessary technical studies for restoring and operating the Gyumri–Kars railway and power line — projects seen as crucial for deepening economic connectivity between the two neighbours.
The Margara checkpoint, located on the Armenia–Türkiye frontier, has undergone gradual modernisation in recent years as part of broader efforts to improve infrastructure and border operations.
