Missile alert briefly declared in Russia’s Bryansk region
Authorities in Russia’s Bryansk region briefly issued a missile alert, local officials announced.
The announcement was posted on Telegram channel by the region’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz, who instructed residents to take immediate precautions, Caliber.Az reports.
“The alert system has been activated. If possible, stay at home! Take cover in a windowless room with solid walls! Do not approach windows! If you are outside or in a vehicle, head to the nearest shelter or other safe location,” Bogomaz wrote.
He also reminded citizens of the regional emergency services contact number.
Minutes later, the governor confirmed that the alert had been lifted.
“Attention! Attention! The missile alert is cancelled,” the follow-up message stated.
