Missile attack hits Russia’s Belgorod, damages infrastructure

The Russian city of Belgorod and its surrounding district came under two rounds of missile strikes, carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the regional operational headquarters via Telegram.

“Following the first strike, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, resulting in disruptions to electricity and water supply,” the statement said.

In Belgorod, the facades of two administrative buildings were damaged, while windows in two apartment blocks were shattered. Both a truck and a passenger vehicle were also hit by shrapnel.

One civilian was reported injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
