Moscow claims drone facilities hit in Kyiv, ports targeted
Russia said it had carried out strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities in Kyiv, targeting sites involved in the production and storage of drones, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.
In a statement, the ministry said the attacks also hit infrastructure at the ports of Odesa and Yuzhny, which it described as being used for the delivery and storage of military cargo and fuel supplies.
Russian forces additionally struck a maritime vessel and a high-speed boat belonging to Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces while they were en route to ports in the Odesa region, the ministry said.
It added that the strikes were conducted as coordinated group attacks using high-precision, long-range weapons launched from both land- and air-based platforms, as well as attack drones.
Earlier reports indicated that two people were killed and five injured in Kyiv as a result of Russian shelling. The claims could not be independently verified.
