Moscow mayor says air defences downed 11 drones approaching capital

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones that were approaching the Russian capital.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Sobyanin said the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down before reaching Moscow. 

Russian authorities have not released additional information about the reported drone attack, and the claims could not be independently verified.
