Moscow plans to replace human couriers with delivery robots, city police chief Oleg Baranov announced.
Speaking at the Moscow City Duma while presenting the 2025 activity report of subordinate law enforcement bodies, Baranov stated that, together with the Moscow government and major organisations such as Yandex, extensive work is being conducted on the project, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“Recently, mobile units were demonstrated at Petrovka 38, which in the future are expected to replace human couriers and delivery personnel. At the moment, security issues are being carefully addressed,” he added.
Baranov noted that the robots move at speeds of 3–5 km/h and comply with traffic rules.
