Moscow stands for resumption of Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations on all tracks Foreign Ministry official states
Russia stands for the resumption of negotiations on all tracks of the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalisation, including the unblocking of transport communications, the delimitation of the border, the preparation of a peace treaty, and the holding of meetings of public figures and parliamentarians.
The statement came on March 23 at a weekly briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, Caliber.Az informs, citing the Russian media.
“We proceed from the fact that there is no alternative to the peace process. We call on the parties to exercise restraint in their statements and actions,” Zakharova said.
“People are constantly asking how we assess the involvement of the West in normalization. As soon as they appeared, large-scale problems immediately appeared. And behind all the words about peace and the desire to help, we see in the real situation the exact opposite of the statements of the West,” Zakharova noted.
She also believes that there is nothing to comment on Blinken's statements on the peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
“Let's comment on the events that took place. Still, we proceed from the premise that this should be done from the beginning, and then it will be possible to comment on it. We are open to comments, but there is nothing to comment on yet,” she said.
