Most Spaniards see Trump as threat to global peace, survey shows
A majority of Spaniards believe that the United States may carry out large-scale military interventions within the next 12 months, according to a survey published by El País.
The study found that 81% of respondents consider such a scenario highly or fairly likely.
Around 64% think the US could attempt to assert control over territories such as Greenland.
Similarly, 81% view US President Donald Trump as a threat to peace to some degree, compared with 79.3% for Russian President Vladimir Putin and 71.2% for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Other world leaders included in the survey were Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei (62.9%), North Korea’s Kim Jong Un (62.25%), and China’s Xi Jinping (49.3%).
More than half of Spaniards (57%) supported Madrid refusing military support to the US and Israel in a potential operation against Iran, while 24% would back a hypothetical exit from NATO.
The survey was conducted on March 24–25 and included approximately 2,000 participants.
