Newspaper: Moscow maintains neutral stance on Armenia’s politics

Moscow is demonstrating neutrality toward Armenia’s internal political processes and has declined to intervene, according to Yerevan-based Hraparak newspaper, citing sources close to the Russian authorities, as reported by Caliber.Az.

The report indicates that the Kremlin has stopped sending political emissaries to Yerevan.

Armenian political figures who have left the country and are seeking Russian support are reportedly being diplomatically denied engagement.

Earlier, Hraparak noted that Moscow also rejected requests from Armenian political forces for financial assistance ahead of upcoming elections.

The developments underscore Russia’s current stance of non-involvement in Armenia’s domestic political affairs.
