North Korean foreign minister to visit Russia for official talks

North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui will arrive in Russia on July 18 for an official visit at the invitation of her Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.

The visit will take place in Moscow, according to the announcement, Caliber.Az reports per the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Choe has previously said that North Korea and Russia share common views on all strategic issues, reflecting what she described as the level of their allied relations.

She has also said North Korea’s position is to pursue the comprehensive expansion and development of ties with Russia “on the basis of comradeship and trust, tested by blood through the severe trials of time.”
