Offenders often blackmail Azerbaijani residents from abroad

Head of the PR and media relations department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, Police Major Elshad Hajiyev has said that there are facts of blackmail through fake profiles controlled from abroad on social networks.

“Several people have already applied in this regard. The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry calls on users of social networks to be careful, avoid unethical communication through video conferences, etc.,” Hajiyev told Caliber.Az.

“Offenders demand 500-1,000 euro for not sending photos and video recording to third parties,” Hajiyev added.
