OSCE appoints new leadership for next five years
OSCE Chair-in-Office Ian Borg has announced that the member states of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) reached an agreement.
An agreement refers to the candidates for four key leadership positions within the organisation for the upcoming five-year term. Former Turkish Foreign Minister and former Turkish Permanent Representative to the UN Feridun Sinirlioglu has been appointed new secretary general, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

Feridun Sinirlioglu (Türkiye) — OSCE Secretary General. Maria Telalian (Greece) — Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. Christophe Kamp (Netherlands) — OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities. Jan Braathu (Norway) — OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Borg, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta, wrote on X.
He also emphasised that Malta's OSCE chairmanship, as it nears its term end, leaves the organisation with strong leadership that will guide its executive structures through turbulent times on the path to peace, security, and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
