Over 150 Russians stuck in Yerevan after 16-hour flight delay

More than 150 Russian tourists were unable to depart from Yerevan due to a 16-hour flight delay to Moscow amid bad weather, spending hours at the airport.

The passengers were scheduled to leave overnight, but the flight to Moscow was postponed to 7:00 p.m. due to air pollution, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Telegram channel SHOT.

Travellers said airline staff failed to provide food or water for seven hours and were unresponsive.

After long delays, airline employees finally addressed passengers and asked them to leave the airport to prevent unrest, reportedly promising “luxury hotel rooms.”

Passengers have filed complaints with relevant authorities regarding the airline’s handling of the situation.
