Over 2,000 Russian drones, 1,200 bombs hit Ukraine in a week — Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that over the past week, Russia has launched more than 2,000 attack drones, around 1,200 guided aerial bombs, and 116 missiles of various types at Ukrainian cities and villages.
Zelenskyy shared the attack figures on his Telegram channel, per Caliber.Az.
According to the president, the strikes are carried out almost daily and target energy facilities, logistics infrastructure, and residential buildings. He stressed that the attacks continue even amid diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace.
“The world must not turn a blind eye to Russian attacks. When there is no response, the strikes become more frequent and increasingly brutal,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that the situation can only be stopped through real support for Ukraine, primarily the supply of missiles for air defence systems and weapons for Ukrainian forces. Zelenskyy also emphasised the need for sustained international pressure on Russia to make the cost of war unacceptably high.
In conclusion, the president thanked all partners who, he said, are working alongside Ukraine to protect human lives and bring closer a “just peace.”
