25 August 2026 09:32

Pakistan made “significant progress” in talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on measures Tehran and Washington need to take to revive an Islamabad memorandum of understanding, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said.

Naqvi noted that he and Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir discussed the US-Iran conflict, rising regional tensions and prospects for a comprehensive settlement during their meeting with Pezeshkian in Tehran, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iran International.

According to Naqvi, Pezeshkian outlined his government’s concerns and voiced hope that the talks would pave the way for further progress and lasting peace in the region.
