Pakistan urges restraint amid renewed Middle East violence
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement following a surge in violence in the Middle East, warning of the risks posed by a fragile ceasefire.
In a post on X, Sharif said that the recent escalation in the Middle East was a stark reminder of the dangers associated with a tenuous ceasefire and the severe consequences it could lead to, Caliber.Az reports.

He stated that Pakistan, together with its partners, was working earnestly and painstakingly to find a peaceful diplomatic solution to the conflict, and suggested that the process was nearing a critical stage. He urged all sides to exercise restraint and give peace more time to succeed, adding that countries should remain on the path of diplomacy rather than violence and destruction.
“Let us continue to remain on the path of peace and diplomacy which have bright prospects of success instead of violence and destruction!” Sharif wrote on X.
