Pakistani president to travel to Kyrgyzstan for bilateral talks
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is set to begin an official visit to Kyrgyzstan on July 6 at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, the Kyrgyz presidential administration announced.
According to the presidential administration, Zardari's visit will run from July 6 to 9 and will include expanded high-level talks in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata, Caliber.Az reports.
The discussions are expected to focus on key areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as coordination within international organisations, including the United Nations (UN), the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO).
The Kyrgyz presidential administration said the visit is expected to strengthen ties between the two countries.
"It should be noted that the Pakistani president’s official visit will be an important milestone in the development of the partnership and friendly relations between the two countries," the statement said.
