Pashinyan ally: No statement from Türkiye’s FM on Armenia’s elections
Armenian Parliament Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan sharply criticised opposition media outlets, accusing them of spreading false claims regarding comments attributed to Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
According to reports circulated by Armenian opposition media, Fidan had allegedly expressed support for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ahead of the upcoming elections.
Rubinyan addressed the issue in a statement published on his Facebook page, per Caliber.Az.

He wrote that “a segment of our disgraceful media” and “the cousin of a Russian businessman,” referring to oligarch Samvel Karapetyan, had once again demonstrated their inclination toward dishonesty.
Rubinyan stressed that Türkiye’s Foreign Minister had not stated any support for Pashinyan. “This is simply false. He did not say anything of the kind,” he emphasised, adding that such comments would have been impossible because the matter concerns Armenia’s internal affairs.
Thus, Rubinyan dismissed the opposition media reports as fabricated and reiterated that no such statement had been made by Hakan Fidan.
