Pashinyan: Armenia, Azerbaijan to begin border delimitation along TRIPP project
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan will carry out border delimitation in areas included in the TRIPP project — the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.
According to Pashinyan, before the commencement of construction work on communication infrastructure within the TRIPP areas, the process of demarcation and delimitation will be conducted to accurately establish the border line between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“When the issue of communications becomes more active, naturally, they (the Azerbaijanis) pay more attention, more time to it, and, therefore, it is possible that more attention will be paid to the issue of delimitation,” the Prime Minister stated.
He also noted that the joint commissions responsible for delimitation will continue their work on the remaining sections of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
Pashinyan further emphasized that the linkage between the two processes — border delimitation and the opening of communication routes — lies in the fact that both are being coordinated by the same deputy prime ministers from Armenia and Azerbaijan, ensuring alignment and continuity in the negotiations.
