Pashinyan, Macron discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan peace efforts
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the 6th European Political Community summit in the Albanian capital, Tirana, as effective.
Regional and international developments featured prominently in the discussions, with particular emphasis on the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process. The sides noted the importance of signing the peace agreement and taking continuous and consistent steps in that direction, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
President Macron reiterated France’s unwavering support for the peace process, stating that security and stability in the South Caucasus are essential for broader regional cooperation.
Speaking at the plenary session of the European Political Community summit in Tirana on May 16, French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed Paris's backing for the ongoing peace efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
He echoed this stance during his address to the summit’s plenary session, saying: “We fully support both sides on the path toward signing this important document — the peace agreement.”
