Pashinyan's office accuses Russia of organising coup attempt
Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armenian Prime Minister's Office, accused Russia of plotting an attack on Armenia's state buildings.
"The planned terrorist attack uncovered by Armenia's National Security Service was another coup attempt. Because terrorism is a way to achieve political and ideological goals through violence and threats. Naturally, it was a planned attack not on the authorities, but on the state of Armenia," he wrote on Facebook, Caliber.Az reports.
"A similar group acted on October 27, 1999, but due to at least criminal inaction of authorities at that time had irreversible consequences. Naturally, if it had been 1999, this case would have been considered at the level of 'precinct' and they would have done everything to cover their tracks.
But today it is more than obvious where the wind of the terrorist attack called 'Northern Leaffall' blows from. However, the organisers of the uncovered terrorist act called 'Northern Leaffall' do not realise that the northern wind is not strong enough to throw leaves in Armenia, because the power in Armenia belongs to the people, and our trump card in the hybrid war is democracy," Chakhoyan wrote.
It should be noted that the day before, Armenia's National Security Service neutralised a criminal group preparing to blow up and seize state buildings.
