Pashinyan сalls for focus on Armenia’s recognised borders
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on Armenians not to seek a homeland beyond the country’s internationally recognised borders, emphasising the importance of statehood and peace in preventing the recurrence of historical tragedies.
According to Armenian media cited by Caliber.Az, in an address to the nation on April 24, marking the anniversary of the so-called “Armenian genocide” in the Ottoman Empire, Pashinyan said that the events of that period were linked to the Armenian people’s involvement in broader international intrigues.
The prime minister argued that the key guarantees against a repetition of such events are the strengthening of Armenian statehood and the pursuit of peace.
“To achieve this historical goal, we must stop searching for a homeland outside the internationally recognised territory,” he said.
