Pashinyan says he landed in Frankfurt after boarding wrong plane VIDEO

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he mistakenly boarded the wrong plane while travelling to Germany, landing in Frankfurt instead of Wiesbaden.

“We landed in Frankfurt, not in Wiesbaden. I got on the wrong plane,” Pashinyan said, Caliber.Az reports per regional media. 

The Armenian prime minister had previously announced that he was travelling to Wiesbaden for a working visit, where he is due to receive the Hesse Peace Prize for his efforts to promote peace in the South Caucasus.

Pashinyan also responded to media questions about the ownership of the plane he used for the trip. He joked that the aircraft was his private plane as he had recently learned that his grandfather had left him an inheritance.

“In response to questions from the media—linked to the three-headed war party—about who owns the plane on which I flew to Germany today, I reply: It is my private plane. Last week, I happened to learn that my grandfather had left me an inheritance. We are currently trying to sort out the paperwork. I consider any attempt to uncover this information a political vendetta, a gross violation of human rights, and a funeral for democracy,” Pashinyan said.
