Pashinyan signals Armenia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Russia
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has reaffirmed that Armenia will continue to pursue a path of strengthening relations with Russia, noting that bilateral ties are currently undergoing a period of transformation.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, Pashinyan made these remarks at the 7th congress of the ruling Civil Contract party.
“We have established military-technical cooperation with many countries, while continuing to interact with the Russian Federation, the importance of relations with which cannot be overestimated,” Pashinyan said. “Relations with Russia are undergoing a transformation. Let me express my opinion that this is a constructive transformation, and on this basis, we will move forward in strengthening relations with the Russian Federation.”
He also emphasised that political dialogue with Russia will remain active, signalling a continued focus on maintaining and enhancing bilateral engagement.
