Pashinyan to be questioned over Armenian soldiers’ killing in 44-day war
The parents of the Armenian soldiers killed in the 44-day war were interrogated by Armenia’s Investigative Committee on Thursday.
The victims' lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan told reporters that the petition of the servicemen’s relatives was satisfied, and the prosecutor-general instructed to summon Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for questioning, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian mass media.
“However, it is unknown when the questioning will take place. The sequence of actions is decided by the investigator. The prosecutor recognized 27 people as victims, and we submitted a petition for 15 more relatives," the lawyer said.
In turn, one of the fathers of the soldiers noted in an interview with journalists that during the interrogation in the Investigation Committee, he demanded that Prime Minister Pashinyan be brought in as an accused. Another relative expressed a similar point of view.
Family members of the fallen fighters have been demanding for a long time to bring Pashinyan as an accused, believing that he is responsible for the deaths of their children.
