Passenger bus overturns in Istanbul–Izmir Highway in Türkiye, injuring 25 people

A passenger bus overturned on the Istanbul–Izmir highway, in Türkiye, leaving 25 of the 40 people on board injured.

Preliminary findings suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

Gendarmerie, fire brigade, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

Medical teams transported the injured to nearby hospitals, where treatment is ongoing.

Traffic on the highway is being regulated in a controlled manner.
