Plane with humanitarian aid for population of Gaza takes off from Moscow
An Il-76 plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with another batch of humanitarian aid for the population of the Gaza Strip took off from Moscow to Egypt, the ministry’s press service told TASS.
"The Il-76 special aircraft of the Russian emergency ministry took off from Zhukovsky International Airport to the airport in the city of El-Arish. The aviation of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will deliver humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 15 tons, which includes food and baby food, personal hygiene products, bed linen, blankets and sleeping bags," the ministry said.
The batch was collected by the government of Tatarstan. It will be handed over for delivery to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
On November 23, a special flight of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 28 tons of humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip. In total, the Russian side has already delivered 273 tons of humanitarian cargo.
