PM Pashinyan concerned about lack of discipline in Armenian army
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has instructed the military leadership to take measures to improve discipline in the ranks of the country's armed forces.
At the final meeting in the Armenian Defense Ministry, the prime minister emphasized that permanent efforts and consistent steps are needed to eradicate non-statutory relations. Pashinyan gave specific instructions to the military, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
During the meeting, Pashinyan was also presented the works on replenishing the arsenal of the Armed Forces, construction of barracks, engineering equipment of positions, increasing the combat readiness of the troops.
Recall, on January 9, two incidents were recorded in the 2nd Army Corps of the Armenian Armed Forces. Early in the morning, the body of contract serviceman Karen Karapetyan was found with a gunshot wound at a combat post. A few hours later, the body of Senior Lieutenant Mikayel Danielyan was found with a gunshot wound at another post.
