PM Pashinyan's party says CSTO members issue contradictory statements against Armenia
Vahagn Aleksanyan, an MP from Armenia's ruling Civic Compact party, said the statements of Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) member states raise questions that contradict allied relations with Armenia.
"In fact, our membership in the CSTO is frozen and we do not participate in the events, as we have several questions to the CSTO, to which we do not receive legitimate answers, and in many cases, we do not receive answers at all," Caliber.Az quotes him as saying in an interview with Armenian media.
CSTO member states often make such statements, which, by and large, would be more logical if they were made by countries that are not allies of Armenia, on the contrary, are military-political opponents of Armenia.
All this raises many questions for us, but at the same time we realise that we are responsible for not escalating the situation unnecessarily and not taking steps to increase tension with our actions," Aleksanyan said.
