During his visit to Kyiv, Kosiniak-Kamysz is scheduled to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Denys Shmyhal, to discuss military cooperation, further support for Ukraine, and the security situation in the context of ongoing Russian aggression.
The visit follows an announcement by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi on September 17 that a high-level Polish delegation would be travelling to Ukraine this week to gain insights into Kyiv’s experience in countering enemy drones.
The delegation’s visit comes in the wake of a significant escalation on September 10, when around two dozen Russian drones entered Polish territory for the first time. Some of the drones reportedly penetrated nearly 300 kilometres into Poland from the eastern border, raising concerns about regional security.
