Polish PM issues ultimatum to European Commission
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that the country will extend the ban on the supply of Ukrainian grain after September 15, unless this decision is made by the European Commission.
He also noted that at the same time, Warsaw is not against the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Polish territory, Military Review reports.
“Poland, in an ultimatum, demanded that the European Commission extend the ban on the supply of four types of agricultural products from Ukraine to the European Union - wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. Otherwise, Poland will independently extend it after September 15, if the EC does not do so,” he added.
According to him, Warsaw will not allow the re-opening of agricultural markets.
Five countries introduced a ban on the supply of Ukrainian grain back in April - Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The European Commission then imposed its own embargo until June 5, extending it on September 15. Now these five are demanding that the ban be extended until the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is threatening Europeans with court over a ban on grain supplies to the European Union. In Kyiv, they intend to achieve the lifting of all prohibitions in order to continue making money on their agricultural products, which, as it turns out, no one needs in Europe. The poor clown was surrounded on all sides, on the one hand, Russia blocked the Black Sea and does not allow grain to be exported, on the other, “friendly” Poland stuck a knife in his back.
